Technical support is the most important service we provide to our customers. Without it we are merely box sellers with no purpose other than to warehouse and distribute similar to all the other online sellers.

What is SEER? SEER is Solutions for Energy Efficient Results. SEER was created from manufacturers' requirements, industry standards and DESCO Energy's expertise from 34 years of successfully providing thousands of homeowner and business do it yourself installations of heating and cooling systems. SEER was created through the cooperation of the many manufacturers we represent establishing guidelines and requirements for selecting, sizing and installing all types of heating and air conditioning systems according to industry approved methods and standards. The requirements and guidelines provided by SEER meet and exceed manufacturers' and industry requirements for a complete system. Using top industry standards and information approved and substantiated by the following sources including specifically Manual J8 online sizing, Manual D duct design and IBR for radiant and hot water heating systems. Selection and sizing of systems according to ARI - The Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute standards, designs meeting the requirements of ASHRAE The American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Heating Engineers, Technical support from methods and standards established by RSES - Refrigeration Service Engineers Society, Technical support from our support team meeting standards testing and training via NATE - North Atlantic Technician Excellence, Venting and gas furnace installations according to standards established by AGA - The American Gas Association, UL- Underwriters Laboratories and advice and recommendations meeting the Tax Rebates Program from the Energy Act of 2006  and recommendations from the Federal Government's Department of Energy and the Energy Star program.  These organizations are sources for the approvals, standards, guidelines and requirements established by SEER. SEER confidently and accurately guides you through the whole process of your HVAC do it yourself project. SEER provides educational information developed at a homeowner do it yourself level. In addition our technical assistance team is NATE certified, the leading recognized industry certification for accurate design, installation and technical support for troubleshooting. Some members of our technical assistance team are also certified field engineers for more complex commercial and industrial designs and technical support. SEER is exclusive to DESCO Energy and establishes qualified and industry approved standards and practices for a successful homeowner do it yourself installation. Without industry approved guidelines and requirements a homeowner installation cannot be approved for a manufacturers authorized factory warranty.  The creation of SEER guidelines and requirements has resulted in the highest customer satisfaction, lowest warranty claims with no premature system failures from improper sizing or poor installations. Manufacturers will not provide technical assistance or warranty support from any homeowner do it yourself installation because there is no established evidence the installation met the requirements for proper selection, sizing and installation. SEER is the only source providing this much valued criteria.

When you need your system sized at the beginning of the process SEER will automatically perform a Manual J8 calculation and determine the exact btus your house needs for heating and cooling. SEER provides an online sizing form for your information input. SEER will advise you as to the most efficient system for you based on all important factors including your location, size and construction of your house, energy efficiency of your house and local climate as well as your fuel costs and make recommendations based on that information. SEER will prevent you from purchasing an inefficient oversized or undersized system. Seer will show you how to connect the thermostat and control wiring, set up the control system and variable speed settings and how to understand the purpose of all the new features and benefits of your system. SEER will assist you in diagnosing problems. SEER will provide warranty parts and labor support. SEER will help you locate a licensed technician. SEER will explain in complete detail to your satisfaction what is required for your specific system, how to go about a do it yourself project and the final completion. SEER will provide you with a warranty validation form to be completed by your installation technician for final start up and check out. SEER will also advise you what can be easily completed on the do it yourself level and what needs to be completed by a licensed technician. SEER will help you if you get in over your head. SEER will send a NATE certified technician to your job if required and requested by you. SEER will design the complete system for you and provide a complete energy efficient fiberglass precut duct system for forced air systems. SEER will also design and provide a complete in floor radiant heating system for you. SEER will review your existing duct system and/or design a new duct system for you at no extra charge other than the cost of the new heating and cooling equipment. If you want to do it all yourself SEER will also show you online how to design your own heating and air conditioning forced air system or in floor radiant heating system.
